Functional Active Ingredients in the Snail Secretion Face Mask

The difference between a cream and a face mask is not only one of format: it is one of concentration and mechanism of action. Masks, in fact, contain active ingredients in significantly higher quantities than daily cosmetics and, thanks to the application time, create a microenvironment on the skin that promotes their deep absorption. Below are the most relevant key active ingredients contained in the formulation:

• Snail secretion: collected with full respect for the animal, it is filtered and subjected to purification and preservation processes before producing the extract used as a cosmetic ingredient. This active ingredient is highly protective and moisturising; it also contains glycolic acid and allantoin with a protective and restructuring function; very effective in combating expression lines.
• Calamine: is a very fine powder of mineral origin also called pink clay (its colour characterises its texture). It contains many trace elements, promotes ionic exchange with the skin, and has a healing, rebalancing and remineralising function. It is also an excellent soothing agent.
• Shea butter: is one of the most interesting plant lipids in the cosmetic field. It gives the cream pleasant applicability and stability and has protective and soothing properties.
• Unsaponifiable fraction of olive oil: exceptionally rich in squalene (one of the main components of skin sebum). Thanks to its affinity with the composition of the sebum physiologically present on the stratum corneum, this active ingredient has a marked emollient function.
• Comfrey extract: the extract of this plant is rich in allantoin, polysaccharides and tannins, and has emollient, astringent and healing properties.
• Honey from Organic Farming: has very marked emollient properties and regenerates the superficial cells of the skin. It is an excellent moisturiser and is especially useful in cases of skin redness.
• Almond proteins: highly pure almond protein hydrolysate. Almond proteins have a great affinity with the keratin of the skin, therefore they have film-forming, protective and elasticising properties.
• Fragrance: lotus flower, completes the ritual for a feeling of pleasant well-being.

How to use the Snail Secretion Face Mask

After thorough cleansing, apply a generous amount of product to the face and neck, avoiding the eye contour and lips. Massage for approximately 2 minutes to promote the activation of the functional ingredients. Leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. After use, close the packaging perfectly. Keep the product away from direct light sources, heat sources and out of the reach of children. For external use only. Avoid direct contact with the eyes. Recommended frequency: 1-2 times a week.
